James Doolittle | Producer

In high school they called me “Lurch”. In college, “The Wookiee”.

Professionally, they call me “Doolittle”, ideal as it’s my last name. I’ve carried the nomenclature since my days working at McDonalds.

I have a collection of Chuck Taylor’s, as evidenced by this photo, in which I am probably listening to Guided by Voices.

No, I am definitely listening to Guided by Voices.

I have limited knowledge of using ChatGPT, which I did query on writing a placeholder bio.

Our future technological masters relayed something embarrassingly devoid of my favorite attribute - a touch of humility. An algorithm will never fully express the fact that all I have accomplished in these 30 years in “the biz” is in large part a result of all of the wonderful creatives, clients and crews that have defined our work.

I’ve produced commercials in Ireland, handled celebrity talent in L.A., and have helped turn Lisa Vanderpump into a talking dog with an impeccable wardrobe. I’ve walked backwards with DPs, run post teams spread across four time zones, and still believe the worst question is the one not asked.

I love making everything feel effortless, and take none of it for granted.
